End Times

Updated: Oct 10, 2022

It seems as if the End Times has grown more heads than the red, seven-headed dragon found in the twelth chapter of the Book of Revelation. Many people are too afraid to even talk about the end of the world.

It is not only a subject of debate amongst Christians, which can cover several anthologies, but it is also a debate amongst non-Christians as the end of the world has been anticipated in our real lives, carrying over into many works of fiction. People are scared to even open up the Book of Revelation. They would rather act as if it's not a book in the Bible at all. People are afraid because the Book of Revelation is a prophecy about how bad and violent and wicked the world will be at the end.

The purpose of Revelation is to provide Christians with the assurance that God has a plan for the broken world we live in. The entire Bible reveals His love for us through His plan from the very beginning.

The very last book lets us know that the devil will be defeated, along with death .A New Heaven and New Earth will be created for us to exist in perfect peace with our Savior for eternity.

Of course, there are other images, prophecies, and events that happen before then. This is where Christians can get into sticky territory by trying to guess, “decode,”or fear the future by living in constant terror of a day that may or may not come in their lifetime.

Let's be clear: The end of this world as we know it is coming. Jesus is coming back on the cloud on a white horse. A New Heaven and a New Earth will be formed after this heaven and earth are destroyed. Our job is to get ourselves ready to see Jesus. What I mean by that is we should try to look as much like Jesus as we can before He comes back. I don't want to be in backslide mode when Jesus makes His second appearance here on earth.

If only God knows when the events of the End Times will begin, with Jesus and even the angels not knowing, what makes us think we will be the ones to figure it out?

It is pure pride that allows us to think we will be the one through all of time and space to figure out this cosmic mystery. What is ironic is that the Bible tells us that it will come so fast, this time of so-called calculation and preparation will not even be possible.

For you know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night (1 Thessalonians 5:2).

AllI can I say is let's get ready, for we do not know when King Jesus will come riding in on us. Can you imagine yourself indulging in your most egregious sinful act and you look up and Jesus is coming towards you?

I'm not trying to incite fear among my readers. I'm just saying: Get ready! We do not know the day or hour but get ready anyway.

Here I am purposely engaged in living an inspired life!

Blessings,

Rachel Mason
